Binh Tay Market as built in 1920s by a Chinese businessman in the heart of Chinatown (back then was known as Cho Lon Province). After a few times of renovation and expansion, the total size of the market is 25,000 square meter (approx. 269,097 sq.ft) and has 12 entrance gates.
Since its opening in 1930, the market has been the central market in District 6 and one of the biggest local markets in Ho Chi Minh City.
