Phong Nha Cave is one of the most beautiful caves in the Phong Nha Cave System. Phong Nha Cave is the final cave in the system, where the water drains out to the Son River and then to the sea.
The cave was discovered in 1899 for the first time and being used as a field hospital during the war time. In 1990 and 1992, The British Vietnam Caving Expedition Team conducted further exploration and survey. This has helped to reveal the majestic cave to the world.
